The cover of this book depicts a particular strain of the Venus flytrap selected  and isolated by Mr. Suzuki, often referred to as the "Suzuki-type". This is characterized by a well-balanced shape of a rosette posture - lying low on the ground throughout the year. This is considered the most desirable growth form for the flytrap and is most valued in Japan. This strain is still being maintained among CP enthusiasts in Japan to this day.
