The 4th Conference of the
International Carnivorous Plant Society
(ICPS)
in Tokyo, June 21-23, 2002
Some 40 participants took the
opportunity to join the Mt. Koshin excursion arranged by IPS. Mt. Koshin is
known as the prime habitat for Pinguicula ramosa, an endemic butterwort species
to the region. The fog-covered mountain cliff offers an ideal habitat for this
rare species. The excursion participants had only a few minutes to spare after
the conference to catch the waiting chartered bus for Mt. Koshin.
