Nectar glands along the rim of the leaf blade. Note the glands are flush to the surface, allowing air-tight seal during the narrowing phase of the leaf closure sequence.

The inner surface of the trap is heavily covered with numerous digestive glands. These sessile glands are often responsible for the bright red tint of the trap surface.
