Nikon's Full-Frame Mirrorless Entry
Some people might have thought that Nikon would baby-step their entry into
with an entry model and slowly move to a higher end.
Nikon introduced Z7, which is the replacement of D850
- virtually the current top-of-the-line DSLR offering from Nikon -
with 46 MP and 9 fps (without an ugly battery grip)!
though focusing is fixed at the first shot.
Three months from now, Nikon will introduce Z6
which is virtually the replacement of, yep, D5!
with 24 MP, 12 fps (though focusing is fixed at the first shot).
No worries for DSLR users. Nikon
will continue its production of SLR lines for the next 10 years.
We now have the two best worlds intermingling each other to choose from...
I personally prefer the SLR's real
glass-prism finder instead of looking though a tiny TV screen.
But we cannot stop the flow of technology...
I am anxious to see how good the Nikon's EVF is.
I pre-ordered my Z7 with a 24-70mm and an FTZ converter from Adorama last week.
