A keen eye is
required to locate a tiny seedling of the cobra plant in the field.
Hollow, juvenile leaves, measuring only one centimeter or so, have
deep-red coloration with a pointed tip. A characteristic shape of the
mature leaf is yet to develop. The seedling appears to be only a few months
old.
